As 2025 comes to a close, we’re taking a moment to reflect on a year defined by growth, new partnerships, and meaningful milestones at Westlake Produce Company. From expanding our team and commodity offerings to opening our new Distribution Center, this year was about building for the future while staying rooted in service. We’re incredibly grateful for the customers, growers, and partners who made it all possible, and we’re excited for what lies ahead in 2026.

This season, skip the store-bought gifts and share something fresh from your kitchen or garden. From caramel apples and pear galettes to citrus garlands and veggie baskets, giving produce is a beautiful way to celebrate the holidays—simple, thoughtful, and full of flavor.

Anyone who says turkey is their favorite part of Thanksgiving is probably not telling the whole truth. No one has ever rushed back for seconds of grandma’s dry turkey. The sides are the real stars. We can argue forever about which one is the best, but anything with potatoes always wins for me. They’re the perfect base for buttery, salty goodness, and no Thanksgiving menu feels complete without them. It’s funny to think the first Thanksgiving had no potato dishes at all. Potatoes didn’t even show up in North America until well after 1621. Now they’re a crowd favorite, and there are endless ways to work them into your menu. Just make sure you choose the right type of potato, or you might end up with gluey mashed potatoes or fries that never get crispy.

Gift giving season is here, and this idea stands out in a world full of the same recycled influencer guides. Instead of another generic present, build your own pear box. Pears have a quiet luxury vibe that feels thoughtful and elevated without being over the top. The tradition of giving fresh fruit goes back centuries, when it was seen as a sign of respect and abundance. By putting together your own pear gift box, you skip the overpriced sets and give something sincere, beautiful, and surprisingly affordable. This is the perfect gift for anyone who is hard to shop for or already has everything.

Sunlight warms the golden skin of perfectly ripe peaches as harvest begins, the scent of orchard flowers still fresh in the air; these tender fruits carry a promise of summer that lingers long after the last bite.

From creamy Italian pastas to fragrant Indian curries and delicate Japanese tempura, squash brings comfort and color to cuisines across the world. Each culture finds its own way to highlight this fall favorite, proving that a simple gourd can be both humble and extraordinary.
